Film Photography
A small sample of my passion for 35mm.
I hope you enjoy.

A Corridor in Hà Giang , Vietnam
Taken on my third day trekking through the mountains for Hà Giang in northern Vietnam. A cell tower can barely be made out in the top left corner which is funny considering I hadn't had service for days.

From Dragons
Hạ Long (dragon in Vietnamese) bay tells the legend of a sacred, protecting dragon's fury of fire upon enemy ships crossing the bay. Hundreds of islets formed as a consequence of the molten lava rain meeting the water. Home to one of the most impressive cave systems in the world, Hạ Bay is nothing short of a fantasy world

Portrait of Two Elephants
Photographed while taking a giant step backwards as I felt the intentional gaze of an elephant perceiving me as clearly as I did she.

Home these past four
A serene lighthouse located an hour away from my undergraduate university. Taken in my last semester, I said goodbye to the beautiful corners of Northern California the past four years allowed me to discover.

Portrait of an Elephant
I've always been fascinated with elephants for their extremely high intellect and deeply-rooted emotional connections. With 2.5x more neurons than humans, their complex minds largely remain a mystery to us.

To Syria
Atop a mountain in the North of Israel observers can see Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan in the distance. Most of what we hear about these four countries involve tragedy and destruction. It was surreal seeing the border of each within a single head swivel.

Elephant Toupee
Absolutely charmed by this elephant's head of hair I quickly snapped a portrait after offering a handful of snacks. After the shot, I was a recipient of his incessant trunk tapping, begging for another banana,

Floating schoolhouse
Cambodia homes numerous floating villages, built for the water's seasonal rise and fall. I was stunned by the innovation, creativity, and adaptability to the ever changing environment. Kids boat and climb up into this structure for a chance at an education. Since the Khmer regime, education and upwards mobility remains scarce. Without stepping a foot inside, I was a student myself that day learning extensive history and cultural practices.

Goodbye Golden Gate
I spent my last few months of college photographing the Bay area, a special environment that housed my independent-adult-trial chapter. The first place I made a home. I spent a lot of evenings on Bay area boats cruising off into the sunset as pictured here.

Ash and Sand
In search for a black sand beach at the end of a long hike I watched a group of people from a far scatter ashes along the shore. I captured the final product from afar as the ashes and sand now existed indistinguishably

Commuters
Cambodian people in hand painted wooden boats trading goods and pleasantries in a floating forest. Taken from above and out of focus, preserving the privacy of the locals as I learn their rich cultural and history.

Unclean
The singular male-only temple I encountered in Thailand, justified by the impurity and denial of a woman's menstruation. Ironically adorned in traditionally feminine hues of pink, purple, and red.

April 20th, 2023
For decades, Berkeley students have gathered in the glade on April 20th to participate in a unified puff of smoke at 4:20pm. Students bring couches, pools, hammocks, games, BBQs, and more to celebrate the unique tradition from sunrise to sunset.
Heading 5

Tilted Up
Taken on a different evening in a different location, the clouds look eerily similar to 'Same Waves' featured to the right. One of my many photos of what ever stares down at me from above.

Venice Baby Blue
Playing with lens filters in Italy, I had to photograph the original campanile in which the one I saw everyday at home on my college campus was modeled after

Same Waters
Taken at the beach I spent countless days and night at from birth to 18. I would continue returning to San Diego, deeply changed while the same tides reliably showed up and showed off.
